What to Expect

​

In our SUZUKI program, each student receives a weekly individual lesson of 30, 45, or 60 minutes and one 50 minute group class.

 

During lessons, we will sing together, play our instruments, and listen to music. We will build strong technique from the ground up and explore the many gifts music has to offer. Parental attendance in lessons and participation during at-home practice is expected of all parents or caregivers.

Following the Suzuki philosophy, we start learning to play by ear and gradually incorporate note reading once the fundamentals and basic skills are in place.

Students of all ages and levels are welcome, beginning at 4 years old. Lesson length depends on age and level but generally starts at 30 minutes. ​

Together, we will work to create the highest level of achievement for every student. Parental involvement is expected and the key to our success together. As a team, we will work together to set goals, hold accountability, and support your child in developing musically, emotionally, and socially.

Ps, don’t worry, no prior musical training is needed. The best gift you can give your child is to be present and engaged both during the lessons and at-home practice. We'll make sure you have everything else needed to succeed. ​
